A dance studio with a therapeutic focus.
Our vision at Rocket City Dance Company is to create communities of consciousness raising awareness about the healing affect dance has on an individual’s mental health which includes the blending of meaningful dance instruction along with group therapy sessions with a focus on mindfulness and meditation to help support our dancers in increasing their awareness of their own mental health and how dance can serve as a healthy outlet and coping mechanism.
Our mission at Rocket City Dance Company is to embrace the unique qualities and characteristics of each dancer while teaching the fundamentals of dance, and fostering their ability to be a star performer while dancing their way to a balanced mind, body, and soul.
2019 - The studio opened in Huntsville, AL.
On June 22nd Rocket City Dance Company opened it's doors! On that day more than 30 spectators came out to be entertained by a number of performances, introduced to the dance company staff, and to be made aware of the unique studio concept. Following the grand opening children, adolescents, and adults were welcomed for a week of themed dance nights that were free to the public. Dancers that attended were lead in a therapeutic activity to begin class, introduced to the premise of the studio being a safe space that they could be themselves in, and were taught a dance combo in the theme for that day. Since the grand opening Rocket City Dance Company has had a number of dancers enrolled who have had the opportunity to participate in community performances such as Rosa Parks Memorial Event, Holidays in the Valley, and Alabama A&M home football games. The instructors at Rocket City Dance Company challenge traditional views of dance by focusing on the dancer first. This dancer centered focus results in a well balanced individual ready to absorb the fundamentals of dance leading the individual to ultimately perform at their highest ability.
A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR
“As a Licensed Professional Therapist, I wanted to create an environment that differs from the traditional dance studio by focusing on the healing affect dance has on an individual's mental health. Increasing awareness and consciousness of everyone that enters our studio revolutionizes the way dance is taught, impacts our dance environment, and helps in fostering our dancer’s ability to be star performers.”

A NOTE FROM A DANCE MOM
"I love RCDC! My daughter dances takes the majorette class and is on the competition team. For us dance moms we get to also enjoy our monthly Sips & Dips class which is a fun workout just for us ladies every 3rd and 4th Friday of the month. If you join us once you will also fall in love with all that RCDC has to offer. Jasmine, CiCi and Tiffany are the best dance instructors in North Alabama!"
